Antes de ser la banda conocida como Rage, esta agrupacion alemana se conocia con el nombre de Avenger y por halla de 1984 empezaban a sentar las bases del sonido conocido como Power Metal. aunque su primer disco esta mas orientado al speed metal se notan ciertas similitudes con los inicios de Helloween
